Client: Tang Investment

Background: A traditional investment company wanted to more accurately track how its team of senior managers, analysis and financial experts were spending their time. A distributed process was needed to support a company where most of the resources were field deployed.

Scope: Novem was requested to review the existing time tracking process. This included determining how the company tracked time and applied cost to activities. Novem business analysis’s consolidated business rules, developed a new time tracking system and deployed training for the enterprise during rollout.

Solution: We created a comprehensive system capturing time and expense entry. We designed the system to be a light weight web client that allowed global access anytime of the day. A new dynamic front end using Adobe's FLEX2 technology was created. This allowed the user to input information into fewer screens and implementing online error checking, thus speeding up data entry time.
